When it comes to two-wheeled competition, few fare well against the Kawasaki KX250 motocross bike. Just ask this year’s American Motorcycle Association (AMA) Supercross Champion Ricky Carmichael, who also snagged 13 SX wins in a row–a feat previously only achieved by former SX champ Jeremy McGrath. Aboard Kawasaki’s KX250, Carmichael also won the AMA National Motocross Championship, the U.S. Open of Supercross and he was a member of the U.S.’s winning MX Des Nations team. In spite of such success, Kawasaki continues to fine-tune its winning motocrosser. This explains why the 2002 model incorporates a full complement of engine modifications and chassis alterations.
